JUNIOR HIGH

UN Club
In Model UN, students develop strong leadership skills. They learn to hold debates in a democratic way with their peers or with teenagers from other schools. Students play the role of diplomats from different countries and they learn to see the world from different standpoints.
They also learn to analyze and propose solutions to world issues; First and foremost, peace.

Extracurricular Sports and Arts Activities
The Sports and Arts Department publishes its calendar every school year. The activities take place on the three buildings, according to the activities that students choose to practice.

Mathematics Workshop
Students develop their math abilities with problem-solving exercises. Programs are based on international standards. We participate in two competitions: Math Relay and the National Mathematics Olympiad.

Student Council
The Student Council represents students before the other members of the school community; their members are chosen through a democratic electoral process. Students in the Council have to set a good example through outstanding grades and a good behaviour. The Student Council coordinates its activities with the teacher in charge of the Council. It analyzes and submits proposals to the Principal’s Office, which in turn analyzes and approves the projects.

Environment Committee
We raise environmental awareness among our students so that they learn how to manage natural resources effectively, how to enhance their standard of living, and how to promote sustainable development strategies in their spheres of influence. We promote smart development that fulfils the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We base our environmental awareness training on fact-based concepts enforced in our school and community action projects that enhance the quality of our environment.

Community and Service Committee
We foster a set of guiding values in our students so they become responsible members of the local community and the world community; we prompt them to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the world that surrounds them by discovering their social reality and that of other communities in order to develop their sensitivity to other people’s needs, their awareness, their will to respond to other people’s needs, and their abilities to bring about change.

First Aid
We awaken students’ respect for life, solidarity, a sense of service and excellence through basic training on First Aid techniques.

Choir
We encourage our students to learn vocal techniques through various performances with different voices and without instruments so that they achieve vocal harmony.

Basic French Workshop
We foster a learning attitude, encouraging students to start learning a third language.
