In the Elementary School we create a bilingual community that allows the students to develop intellectual, artistic, physical, social and emotional abilities to connect what is learned in the classroom to daily life. We encourage respect and positive attitudes which contribute to the well being of society. The students discover their potential in an inquisitive and reflective school climate through a program with a multicultural focus. |

Caroline Bissell de Cabildo
From Denver, Colorado, USA, Mrs. Caroline Cabildo obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and the Spanish Language in 1969 from Colorado State College. She completed a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Education in 1972 at the University of the Americas in Puebla. She has studies in the Spanish Language and Spanish and Latin American Literature from the National Mexican University and the Ibero American University both in Mexico City. She also has studies from the University of the Americas, in Education for the 21st Century, and also in Principal and Coordinator Development.
Her experience as a Spanish teacher has been at both junior high and high school levels in the US. covering eight years. She worked as a teacher as well as English coordinator at the University of the Americas for three years. She was an English teacher at the American School high school in Puebla for three years and later became English coordinator in the Elementary School for eleven years. At present she has been the principal of the same school for nine years.
As a member of The Basic School Network she attended the annual conferences for five years held every year in the state of Virginia, USA. Mrs. Cabildo attended the Assertive Discipline Workshop by Lee Canter & Associates in San Diego, California, becoming a qualified presenter of the course to the American School teaching staff. She is a member of the American School’s Editorial Committee for the American School World magazine. She has made Mexico her home for 32 years. |
