On Saturday March 7th, at 9:30 a.m. the 4th Annual Special Olympics friendly competition took place at the Puebla American School Facilities. More than 200 athletes from 12 different sport clubs participated.
After the traditional Flag Ceremony, the crowd enjoyed a dance performance presented by the Dance Student Association and a cheerleading performance by the Puebla American School Cheerleading team. The General Director, Donna Alene Swenson Durie, officially inaugurated the event at 10:11 a.m. and afterwards the olympic torch tour started, with the assistance of one of our students, Ana Victoria Torres.
Throughout the event the participants enjoyed an atmosphere full of teamwork, friendly competition and motivation. Congratulations to all participants, we hope to see you all on the next edition of the Puebla American School Special Olympics.
